KEY OUTPUTS FOR THE POSITION:

An eager and talented team player is needed to join the Product Team at the Head Office in Sandton. The successful candidate will be the Product Developer for Africa

Updating and maintaining:
Preferred supplier lists
Preferred partner sheets
Image library
Perfect moment sheets
Partner offers sheets
Nightly, transport and activity rate sheets
Support documentation
Collating and sending of internal Product Updates
Quoting, checking and amending packages and safari offers
Rate checking & filing as required
Tour Plan reporting on rate amendments and notification to consultants
Attending travel workshops and functions
Hosting and setting up round robin presentations
Research new product and exciting experiences
Requesting services for agent, staff and business travel
Product and destination support to consultants and sales team
Support to Contracting Manager when traveling
KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

Good knowledge of at least 2 of the destinations (one being South Africa) that the Company promote and a base knowledge of the others – South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Namibia, Mozambique, Tanzania, Kenya. In-depth knowledge of South Africa is advantageous
Understanding of rates and commission structures
A working knowledge of Tourplan
Computer literacy – MS Office is essential

PREVIOUS WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Two years’ experience gained in the product/reservations team of a tour operator
Start: ASAP, negotiable accordingly to notice period

Salary: R 10000 - R 12000, depending on experience
