Job Description:

Required to Manage Food product portfolio.
Liaise on all necessary product related issues with local and international sources of food ingredients and commodities.
Interact with key accounts and grow market share with regard to the product range.
Must be able to communicate product trends with the national sales team and accounts when necessary.
Market surveys to determine the market share and size, competitors and pricing.
Implement strategies for effective procurement.
Must be able to source and evaluate new potential sources.
Negotiate contracts with suppliers.
Manage stock levels effectively and procure in accord with forecasts and working capital.
Provide regular summaries and analyses of product and market trends, stock movement, profit trends, threats and opportunities.
Determine selling prices on the product portfolio and manage margins.
Must be able to provide training and implement product launches.
Principal contact and management of customer visit cycles, quarterly principal reviews, project plans and pipelines.
Ensure compliance of all statutory requirements.
Collect all relevant documentation and ensure records are maintained accordingly, MSDS, PDS and certificates

Qualifications:

Matric.
Tertiary qualification in Food Science / related field or a Commercial qualification.
Minimum of 5 years’ sales experience in the Food Industry.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in ingredient purchasing and Product Management.
Must have experience in managing suppliers and principles on supply chain matters.
