PRODUCTION MANAGER

The incumbent will mainly be responsible for the processing of grapes and the production of high quality wine.

Critical performance areas include the following:
* giving strategic input at senior managerial level
* planning and supervision of production processes
* stock and risk management
* maintenance and installations
* liaison with key clients
* personnel management
* reporting and liaising with members
* wine administration.

The ideal candidate has:
* a formal qualification (degree / diploma), as well as expert knowledge in viticulture and oenology
* an applicable, additional qualification in management will serve as recommendation
* at least 10 years practical experience in a bulk cellar
* knowledge regarding quality control practices
* mechanical knowledge
* excellent problem-solving and decision making skills
* excellent interpersonal- and communication skills
* computer skills (experience with WineMS / EZYWine is recommended).
