Summary
Our client is urgently seeking strong a Project Development Manager with a Bachelors’ Degree with Major in Business Management and with Minor in Marketing.
Responsibilities:
Develop various types of project (Infrastructure, Power Plant etc.) opportunities with customers in South Africa and other neighbouring countries. Development entails the identification for a new project opportunity / sale and nurturing of this opportunity through various stages of concept proposal, technical solution (problem solving), commercial structuring, financing etc., with the ultimate goal of contractual agreement. Constantly looking for new potential customers and keep great relationships with potential / existing customers.
Report all sales activities and the results thereof daily / weekly / monthly to the director. Report on any ad-hoc matters, to the director, as required at any given time.
Keep the industry market trend, information, intelligence up to date. Defeat the competitors with great marketing and sales skills in case we have competitors supplying same item to the same customer.
Qualifications:
• Bachelors’ Degree with major in Business Management and with minor in Marketing. French or Portuguese speaking (optional)
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Sales / Marketing position in Project Development or EPC (Engineering Procurement Construction) company.
• Experiences of underwriter of Project Financing, Government tender and EPC tender are very much appreciated.
Skills and Competencies:
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially MS Excel and MS Word)
• Must be well acquainted with chemistry academically, and familiar with chemical industries and what kinds of chemicals are needed in which industries
• Good problem solving techniques
• Good at numbers and calculations
• Fluent in English and good at formal written communication (emails, official letters etc)

• Integrity and honesty. The client has a “one-strike out” policy on violation of integrity and honesty
• Great sales and marketing strategy, skills and tactics. Must see thing out aggressively
• Well connected to French / Portuguese communities, so preferably speaking French / Portuguese who has good relationships with communities

Job Description:

Applications are invited from suitably qualified Electricians, who will be responsible for maintenance, repair and installation of electrical equipment and installations in the underground workings.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Repair, maintain and install relevant electrical equipment associated with mining operations
• Implement recommendations and improvements as prescribed by OEM
• Report defects and breakdowns to the foreman
• Communicate with clients and supervisors to inform on maintenance activities and equipment reliability
• Maintain and create job cards for unscheduled maintenance
• Ensure compliance with legal requirements and mine policies, procedures and standards
• Must be prepared to work outside normal working hours, shifts and overtime if required to do so

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12/N3
• Qualified Electrician with Trade Test Certificate at recognized /accredited institution
• 2 years post apprentice/qualification experience
• Valid driver’s license
• Drill Rig experience will be an advantage
• Underground experience will be an advantage
• Experience on PLC systems will be an advantage

NB – Candidates holding a QCTO (Section 26D) Trade Test, where the learning route is not specified on the Certificate, must submit the Statement of results issued by an accredited MQA trade test centre as well as evidence of training conducted at a technical training centre (e.g. Portfolio of Evidence, Logbooks)

Other Skills/Competencies:

• Independent, proactive thinker and have the ability to do own job planning
• Knowledge of relevant legislation
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English
• Meticulous in following equipment specifications
• Sound engineering principles with regard to change management
