Our client in the Automotive Industry requires suitably qualified and experienced applicants to fill their Project Engineer vacancy in the Assembly - Project Planning Department (Manufacturing Planning Engineering)

THE POSITION ENTAILS:

 

  • Taking responsibility for all assigned Project Planning activities during a project introduction and on a selected production line, with the focus on achievement of quality, cost and schedule targets.
  • Management of technical data and facilities.
  • Project management of new product and facility introductions including critical path analysis and timing control.
  • Planning the introduction of new models and model facility changes into Assembly.
  • Development of innovative improvements to the existing systems within Assembly.
  • Supervision of installations of equipment and machinery (mechanical and electrical in order to ensure that all production and quality requirements are met.
  • Frequent liaising with external suppliers and internal customers
  • Using software computer tools and systems to be able to track projects, do layouts, presentations, SPC analysis, FMEA’s etc.

 

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE SHOULD:

 

  • Have a National Diploma or Degree in Mechatronics /Electrical/ Electronic Engineering
  •  Have at least 3 year’s relevant experience in automotive production process and facilities.
    • Have in-depth knowledge of line automation and visualization equipment and processes, layouts and production facilities.
    • Have in-depth knowledge of Siemens PLC’s, Networks and Automation standards
    • Have an ability to conduct meetings and must be able communicate at all levels
    • Be very flexible, positive, self-driven and must be a team player.
    • Be able to work under pressure with proven analytical skills with an innovative approach to problem-solving
    • Be computer literate.
    • Be prepared to travel overseas at short notice
