Project Manager: Strategic Support – Medical Scheme – Pretoria – 9 months contract

As a Project Manager: Strategic Support, you will be responsible for supporting the planning, delivery and implementation of the strategic projects and programmes, included is to support the implementation of projects and programmes identified as part of the Organisation - NHI position paper.

Support and assist the Senior Manager: Project Management to:
? Ensure the proactive management of projects and programmes in support of driving Organisation’s Strategy, including NHI initiatives
? Manage the development of critical PMO operational plan and ensure integration across related projects and programmes
? Manage communication, status reporting and escalation of issues that cannot be resolved by the team
? Manage quality and administrative support requirements
? Ensure regular and timely reporting of project progress and close off

QUALIFICATION AND REQUIREMENTS
? Degree, a healthcare discipline and/or project management
? A post graduate qualification / Certified Associate in Project Management / Project Management Process will be an added advantage;
? Minimum 5 years’ experience in healthcare and/project management with at least 3 years at management level;
? Experience is programme and portfolio management desired
? Hands-on experience in project methodologies and systems
? Excellent stakeholder management skills
? Hands-on experience project studies and implementation
? Proficient computer skills
? Articulate communication skills and analytical expertise
? Have the ability to work well as part of a team;
? Knowledge of the South African medical scheme industry
? Good ability to actively maintain relationships with service providers
? Must be in possession of a valid driver’s license and own vehicle and be willing to travel at short notice
