What the person must be able to do:

This role is in the Factory Machinery sector. All duties would take place in this context.

* Manage contract e.g. delivery dates, client expectations, solution specs, costing, checking and error prevention
* Manage all contract documentation e.g. order, delivery notes, client drawings, credit checks, invoicing
* Manage drawing process from client spec to final design
* Tweak design from template - Basic Mechanical Engineering, 2D CAD Drawings (Inventor)
* Manage Materials Purchasing and ensuring that orders arrive on time and at the right quality levels
* Manage Assembly Process - Ensure machine complies to design, is built right, painted properly etc...
* Manage transport and logistics to client site
* Manage on-site assembly, installation and commissioning
* Quality Control, inspection and final sign-off by client

Basic Knowledge Required

* Materials – Steel and Plastics
* Basic 2D Drawings and Cutting Sheets


Background work experience:

* 3 years Fabrication/Assembly Project Management
* 2 years Supplier Management and Expediting Orders
* 1 year Basic 2D Drawings and Basic Mechanical Engineering
* 2 years Logistics and Process Management
* National Diploma Mechanical Engineering
* Extremely good with personal organisation and details
* Basic knowledge of mechanical engineering and fabrication
* Management of small mini fabrication and assembly projects
* Simple modifications of templated CAD drawings
* Managing the end-to-end machine fabrication, assembly, delivery, rigging and commissioning
* Advantageous: Machinery Assembly and Commissioning
