R33 000 per month CTC. Large engineering company seeks an Accountant to start ASAP. Must have previous experience within the Engineering and Project Management industry. B Com/B Compt or Honours with 3 years post article experience. Min 5 years of experience within a Financial Environment. Pastel Evolution and Oracle experience. Foreign exchange exposure and tax experience in a project environment. Consolidation experience and sound knowledge of GAAP. Will be responsible for full accounting function up to financial statements (calculating % of completion for contracts, fixed assets and tracking of CAPEX, amortizing leased assets and liabilities, calculating inter-company transactions), full reporting function (monthly & quarterly reports, prepare financial management packs, report and discuss final figures with management, projecting presentations to GLV group), tax related transactions (calculate foreign VAT and company income tax including deferred taxes, ensure internal control system and statutory requirement compliance), All recons to General Ledger (review creditors and debtors recons, cash book review an complete balance sheet recons), year end accounting functions and calculation of rate of exchange (calculate embedded derivatives, recording FEC and hedging transactions in line with IAS 39)
