Summary or overview:

This position is a great opportunity for an Automation Software Tester looking to grow their experience, skills and career in an agile software development environment. We are looking for a committed person, who loves finding and fixing bugs and who is prepared to roll up their sleeves and do what it takes to take our products from inception through to delivery.

The successful candidate, will work in a close-knit testing team, perform QA related activities for incoming requests and projects. This includes creation, execution and maintenance of automation tests. In addition, the candidate will report on the status of tests in the development and production environments.

The candidate should have a keen interest in automation testing and advancing their career in this direction, which will need basic programming skills. It is preferable that the candidate has made some attempt to skill themselves in this area by experimenting with some automation tools and possibly implementing some automation in their environment

Key Responsibility Areas

Test planning and design of test scenarios
Test case preparation and maintenance
Test case reviews
Test case execution
Development of coded automated tests
Provide estimates for test effort
Logging and tracking of defects through to completion
Test reporting throughout test environments
Testing for production support
Provide regular feedback to developers and stakeholders
Attend daily stand-ups and provide testing progress
Qualifications and requirements

Related IT degree or diploma
ISTQB certified (at least foundation level)
Minimum 3 year’s experience as a Software Tester
Knowledge of test management tools
Knowledge and experience in an agile practice will be advantageous
Experience in working with enterprise systems
SQL experience is a must have
Experience in developing (coding level), execution and maintenance of automated tests
Experience with Selenium or other automation testing tools
Experience with SDLC processes and process improvement
Good communication skills
Attention to detail
Ability to function well in a busy, and sometimes, demanding environment
Ability to multi-task
Passion for software testing
Quick response to production support requests
Api (REST) testing experience required (minimum 1 year exp)
Nosql experience is advantageous (mongodb)
Knowledge of JAVA, Java Script and C-sharp
Mobile-based and web-based development experience
