Our client is searching for a Principal Facade Engineer to be based at their Johannesburg offices. This role will report to the Global Facade Leader and will manage Engineers within the Facade Engineering Unit.

Responsibilities:
• Sales and marketing of the facade department and Aurecon in general, generating new clients and contacts and maintaining existing clients
• Bidding of new projects both facade stand alone and as part of a multi-disciplinary group
• Provide technical scope for the bid and pricing information and follow up as required
• With support from the other senior team members, manage technical excellence within the facade department and control risk associated with technical documents submitted
• Provide technical input at project level
• Prepare monthly project invoices and take responsibility for cash collection
• Recruit, develop and train facade staff members and provide a forum for them to learn and grow

Requirements:
• Degree in a discipline relevant to the focus of the Unit
• A Post Graduate qualification in relevant / appropriate professional discipline and Project Management is preferred
• 15 years relevant professional experience in Structural and Facade Engineering
• Proven successful leadership experience in a professional services environment and preferably in the consulting sector
• Proven successful leadership experience in managing risk, quality control and business improvement
