Our client is searching for an ICT Network Infrastructure Administrator

Key Performance Areas
Network Administration:
• Implement network solutions, this will incorporate technologies such as HP switches and Cisco routers, Load Balancers, Firewalls (Fortigate), CoS/ QoS, Network management tools and VPN Technologies
• Provide 2nd level support for LAN/WAN data communication problems and/or tasks
• Analyze complex network problems and coordinate to resolution
• Use the network performance and monitoring tools to provide ad hoc capacity planning and trending as well as technical/ connectivity guidance to clients
• Submit and review planned network changes (Change Control)
• Provide technical support and analysis where required, both during business day and after hours on a rotational standby basis
• Analyze application problems and assist in the coordination of resolutions where necessary
• Ensure that all elements of the network infrastructure are documented and that relevant standards are understood and adhered to
• Assist with the formulation and maintenance of configuration templates
• Provide mentorship to junior team members and educate colleagues as well as internal customers

Improve business efficiency through the use of technology:
• Reduce manual tasks and provide efficiencies through use of technology
• Recommend improvements to promote efficient and cost saving

Requirements:
• A relevant 3 year Information Technology Degree or Diploma
• Cisco Certified Network Administrator (CCNA) or higher certifications would be advantageous
• Minimum of 3 years' experience specializing in supporting large scale LAN/ WAN environments and supporting/ diagnosing IP based network issues
• Proven ability in problem solving strategies to diagnose and resolve complex network issues
• IT networking experience with both small to corporate environments
• Competent in HP Switches, Cisco Wireless Controllers and APs
• Must have Security (Firewalling) experience with a good understanding of IP's, VOIP's, Routing protocols (MPLS) and all web based protocols
