BI Projects
Conduct workshops with business to gather detailed user requirements following a standard development methodology
Translate business requirements into BI requirements specifications
Identify options for potential solutions and produce a dimensional model
Draw up of proposals and present to relevant parties
Development and implementation of solutions
Continuously ensure that tasks and projects are completed within deadlines and that any rework is limited

Improve business efficiency
Monitor and improve the efficiency of business processes, as well as collect and interpret data about existing processes
Continuously keep up to date with technical as well as industry sector developments and investigate alternative business solutions
Reduce manual tasks and direct costs as well as provide efficiencies through use of technology

Training
Provide training to users of the new BI implementations

Reporting
Responsible for the compilation and distribution of status reports to relevant parties

Requirements:
Qualifications & Accreditations
BSc / BCom / IT Degree and/or Relevant Qualification in Business Analysis
Experience & Skills
1 to 2 years’ experience in building and maintaining OLAP cubes in SSAS 2005 or later
Working knowledge of relational databases, web and client-server concepts, and be able to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
2 Years’ experience in database design – must have developed a star schema
Knowledge of SSIS
Solid understanding of data warehousing and BI concepts
Solid knowledge and understanding of writing SQL statements
