Location: Montague Gardens, Cape Town
Description: A Biotechnology company requires a Quality Control Inspector to join their Operations team. The successful candidate(s) will report to the Quality Manager and Production Project Manager. Main duties includes but is not limited to: plan and schedule the testing and inspection of materials and products to ensure quality; inspect and test materials and products to ensure conformance to quality standards and specifications; discard or reject materials and products not meeting specifications; package and label products according to company protocols and prepare orders for delivery; document and record activities and defects; suggest ways in which to improve on quality and packaging related activities; assist with general laboratory and production tasks while working closely with production scientists; assist with maintenance of the clean room laboratory including cleaning the laboratory and documentation; adherence to ISO Class 7 cleanrooms and laboratories according to Good Manufacturing Processes (GMP); assist with training of new QC staff and transfer of knowledge; take part in internal audits and other quality assurance activities and identify areas for improvement; investigate customer complaints and nonconformance issues; develop, recommend and carry out corrective and preventive actions; interpret and implement quality assurance standards and evaluate its adequacy.
Key Requirements: Matric/BTech Diploma or training in Quality Control/Chemistry or related sciences. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a relevant field. Broad based experience with scientific and engineering systems, QC/QA and production beneficial.

Remuneration: R8 000 ctc.
