A renowned company based in the Northern Cape (Carnavon) is looking for a Quality Control Technician.

Credentials / Knowledge 1. National Diploma in quality, mechanical or industrial engineering. 2. Matric 3. Minimum two years of mechanical work background, which would demonstrate experience with hand and power tools, and electrical wiring and hook ups.

Attributes / Skills 1. Knowledge of basic blueprint reading. 2. Knowledge and use of tools such as micrometres, callipers, gauges, volt meters, ammeters, and ohmmeters, as well as electronic inspection equipment like coordinate measuring machines (CMMs). 3. Working knowledge of electrical wiring. 4. Reading comprehension skills to understand work orders, written instructions, and prints. 5. Sound mathematical and technical skills and ability to perform basic calculations. 6. Interpersonal skills to cooperate and work effectively with others. Mechanical ability to understand the operation of equipment used in the department. 8. Good investigative and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail. 9. Ability to think logically and methodically. 10. Must be able to exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. 11. Good interpersonal skills and organisational skills. 12. Good manual dexterity. 13. Ability to work under time pressure. 14. Ability to evaluate work conditions and quality of work. 15. Diligent. 16.
