Quality Engineer | Manufacturing | Uitenhage - Port Elizabeth
Salary: R350-450K Per Annum Including Benefits

Complement Recruitment are recruiting for a Quality Engineer within the Automotive & Manufacturing field. Bachelors Degree in Engineering, BTech in Quality advantageous. Candidates must have their own reliable transport. This permanent position is based in Uitenhage, Eastern Cape.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Quality Control
? Thorough understanding of company quality control functions, able to assist in investigations/improvement projects within the QC function
? Interpret implement and educate staff on requirements to improve and control quality levels within production
? Conduct machine capability and gauge studies on request from the production & process engineering departments
Quality Assurance
? Be able to assist in drafting systems, documents, visual aids, conduct audits, reporting & closure on non-conformance raised
? Assist with regular audits as per internal schedule, process and product audits and bi-annual and follow up audits including closure
? Participate in the die quality departments APQP and PPAP requirements
? Assist with maintaining quality awareness company wide and quality training for new employees
? Assume full responsibility of an assigned customer quality needs
? Assume full responsibility for the quality of an assigned production line or product within
? Manages changes in line with company and manufactures
? Other lawful requests with the scope of work
Quality Improvement
? Conduct and facilitate G8D investigations for both OE and internal reported quality problems, present findings and outcomes to customers and management
? Update and close out register including admin
? Visit customers on request of QM for quality related problems and improvements
? Assist and cultivate a culture of CI by promoting innovation structured thinking methods
? Display quality improvements project objectives/results by effective visual management methods at various location in the plant and CI meeting room
? Any other adhoc duties assigned

QUALIFICATION & SKILLS REQUIRED:
? Matric; Bachelors Degree in Engineering, BTech in Quality advantageous
? 3-5 years experience in the automotive field as an Engineer
? Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
? G8D, process capabilities, APQP, Core Tool Principles manufacturing and automotive knowledge and experience - more than 5 years experience
? Strong initiative and the ability to work well in a team environment
? Computer literate
