Job Description

Evaluate different pricing, costs, measurements and contract documentation as well as the admin thereof
Continuously update oneself of market tenders
Create precise cost estimates for different project developments
Negotiate prices and contracts with relevant tenders
Prepare tender documents, budgets, contracts and bills of quantities
Keep updated on construction work and adjust budget projections accordingly
Familiarise oneself with conditions of contract, namely JBCC, FIDIC, GCC and NEC3
Compose monthly reports and reviews of payment certificates
Train and guide subordinates when needed
Liaise with various teams, departments and clients
Use different measurement systems such as Standard System of Measuring Building Work, COLTO and SANS for value of work done on site

Minimum Requirements

Registered as a candidate with the South African Council for the Quantity Surveying Profession
8 years’ exp. In the relevant industry - RDP houses, multistory buildings, township services (i.e sewer, roads, water ect)
Water treatment and sewer knowledge advantageous
On site exp. Advantageous
Must have a valid driver’s license
