Kendrick Recruitment is looking for an enthusiastic Reception Supervisor, based in Franschhoek in the Western Cape, at a stunning 5 star luxury hotel and vineyard. This role is in support of the Front Office Manager to run an efficient reception team.The reception team also are responsible for all incoming calls, make bookings for the food outlets and sometimes the Spa and the hotel gift shop. They also act as the main point of contact for the guests and so communication with all other departments to ensure that guest requests are actioned is important in this role. Qualifications / ExperienceExperience ofquality 5*hotel/ propertyGood General Education – high level of literacy and numeracyExperience of hotel booking system (Protel experience an advantage)Good telephone mannerComputer skills – Excel, Word and outlookExperience of reception proceduresExperience of training team members to achieve and maintain standardsStrong background in guest liaisonBehaviours and SkillsHighly computer literateFluent in English and Afrikaans (3rd language would be an advantage)Organised and structured approachGood attitude to service – happy to hepHigh level of attention to detailGuest liaison and ensuring guest requirements are communicated to other departments as requiredStrong service attitude/ likes to solve guest problems & issuesExcellent guest contact skills/socially confidentPlans and organises effectively/systematic approachPassion and pride for their workAble to perform gracefully under pressureExcellent observation skills/attention to detail Duties include:Liaising between teams to ensure that all aspects of the guests stay are well produced and coordinatedLiaising with the other managers and team members to ensure that all guest requests and their feedback is appropriately followed throughTraining and developing team members to ensure 5 star standards are maintainedSupporting with the Gift Shop – sales and standardsMaintaining guest histories on Protel systemLiaison with Joburg reservations office and teamArranging guest taxis, drivers, wine tours or other bookings as requestedTaking reservations for rooms, restaurants etc.Guest welcome, registration, check out and billingEnsure all invoicing and billing is captured and accurately accounted forOperate switchboard and forwarding calls to appropriate departments or personsBe able to resolve issues related to guest and logisticsReporting maintenance issuesPreparing all forms and reports for the different departmentsTo fully understand the evacuation procedure due to Receptionist having the information on how and where to exit the buildingPackage & BenefitsSalary of circa R96,000 gross per annum depending on experience15 days paid holiday per year + Public holiday allowance1 meal per shift is providedHours as required – shift work required
