JOB DESCRIPTION

Title: REGIONAL FINANCE DIRECTOR

Who I communicate and work with?

External: Auditors, Bankers, BEE Shareholders, relevant Taxation and Statutory Authorities, Lawyers and Sponsors as required
Internal: CFO, Regional Development Director, Country Financial Manager and Country Directors/Managers, members of the Regional Management Team in the region, Corporate Financial Personnel and other Regional Financial Directors and COBU’s and Group Internal Auditor as required.

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Will function as the Regional Finance Director reporting to the CFO
Will directly manage all treasury and corporate controller functions for the region

Job Objectives

1.Ensure that all financial results, forecasts and budgets produced for the region represent a true and fair view of the financial performance of the region.

2.Ensure that all statutory reporting requirements are fulfilled within each country that the organization operates in within the region.

3.As a member of the senior regional management team will participate and contribute to all strategic plan development and risk management activities with particular emphasis on the management of all treasury and financial risks.

4.Consolidation of all regional management and financial accounts into one regional set of consolidated results and forecasts.

5.Be responsible for the Broad Based-Black Economic Empowerment (BB-BEE) strategy and annual verification processes.

6.In concert with Country Director/Managers and Country Financial Manager, manage all relationships with banks, taxation authorities, and auditors and any other relevant statutory bodies as required. This includes the management of all banking and bonding facilities within the region and ensuring that all banking covenant requirements are met

7.Management of Financial and Administrative overheads at regional level.

Education Skills and Experience

Must have Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or Finance and a recognized accounting qualification
10 years of work experience in Financial Accounting in a Construction Industry.
Financial and Management Accounting
Treasury and controller experience.
Local/International bank knowledge
Analytical skills
IT experience.
Proven financial and accounting skills
Team leadership
Reporting skills
