Job Purpose and Overview:
The Regional Manager will report directly to the General Manager (GM – Coastal/Inland) and provide leadership to the staff in their respective incubator of THE ORGANZIATION to ensure the realisation of the organisation’s strategic objectives and optimise quality service delivery through utilisation of available physical and human resources. Overall management of the administration and business operations of the applicable THE ORGANZIATION incubator and the achievement of the organisation’s strategic objectives in the region.

Key Result Areas:
? Target and deliver high quality services that meet, or exceed, member expectations within commercial constraints
? Provide quality premises, facilities and support services that will service the strategic interests of the organisation into the future
? Maximise awareness and support of the organisation and its programs within both industry and community sectors
? Ensure effective and efficient leadership, coordination and management of the branch at all levels
? Recruit and support approximately 50 businesses for the office with each business remaining with Company for a maximum of 3 years.
? Ensure that at least 50% of the businesses joining THE ORGANZIATION become sustainable within the 3 year period. Sustainable is defined as the business:
o employing at least 4 people on a full time basis;
o generating sufficient cash to pay the business owners and employees a reasonable salary;
o generating sufficient turnover and revenue to cover the market related expenses incurred in operating the SMME’s business and generating an annual profit equal to the owner’s salary;
o showing net positive growth in sales over the last year;
o having a positive net asset value.

Responsibilities:
? Recruitment and selection of businesses meeting the organisation’s selection criteria
? Oversee the development of the businesses within the branch with the objective of meeting the sustainability criteria
? Ensure the programme’s fee policies and procedures are properly applied
? Ensure that appropriate premises are established and maintained according to the organisation’s requirements together with required meeting facilities, a board room and the like.
? Ensure the provision of appropriate IT infrastructure with ADSL internet access, properly licensed software, support in the form of service level agreements and redundancy
? Ensure the provision of appropriate telephone and fax infrastructure to accommodate the requirements of the branch and the businesses
? Establish and maintain a vehicle and driver service for use by the businesses within the programme requirements.
? Ensure a professional bookkeeping service is established and maintained for the provision of accurate, timeous and reliable financial information to the branch and the businesses therein together with assistance with statutory and taxation compliance requirements.
? Ensure that all training and mentoring requirements are achieved by the Enterprise Development Manager
? Ensure all reporting is prepared and submitted in the required format and by required due dates
? Preparation and submission of accurate, reliable and timeous financial information including monthly reporting, annual audit, annual budget and any other financial reporting required
? Prepare, implement and monitor a marketing plan for the branch
? Ensure compliance with statutory human resource requirements and all company policies in respect thereof.
? Assist with the sourcing, implementing and management of collaboration opportunities, particularly in the areas of procurement and finance provision.

Qualifications:
? Relevant Graduate and Post-Graduate tertiary level qualification (i.e in Business, Management, Finance, Operations, Enterprise Development etc)
? Valid drivers’ license

Experience and Knowledge:
? Entrepreneurial executive with proven skills in business and financial management
? Must be commercially astute with strong/ proven business development skills
? Excellent, proven interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
? Demonstrated ability to multi –task and work in fast paced changing environment
? Demonstrated ability to share skills and knowledge with others
? Good presentation skills and ability to represent organisation with corporates/government
? A systems driven individual solid administrative skills
? NPO experience an advantage
? Previous experience working with and developing small businesses is highly preferable
? Practical knowledge of the application of information technology in a business environment, well developed knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of software and familiarity with business administration software
? Knowledge of applicable legislative compliance matters essential
