• Total care of patients within the Trauma Unit – a highly responsible and rewarding role
• Working toward saving every life within this Trauma setting
• Ensuring that unit is run according to acceptable legal standards.
• Maintaining excellent patient and customer care in accordance with Life Healthcare standards.
• Maintaining sound relationships and communication with patients, relatives and the multi-disciplinary team.
• Building professional relationships with doctors and therapists to promote patient-doctor interaction.
• Maintaining all Health, Safety and Infection Control Standards.
• Assist with the effective management of the Ward Management System and CBT

Applicants for this position must:

• Diploma in Nursing Sciences
• Min.2 Years’ working experience in a busy Trauma Unit
• Registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse
• Appropriate qualification for Emergency Department would be an added advantage.
• Previous Trauma or Emergency Department experience is essential
• Capacity to implement and maintain standards of health practice required from all accredited bodies and appropriate health legislation
