A renowned Insurance company is looking for a Reinsurance Manager to join their Risk Department.

Assist with the collection of data from the Underwriting Management Agencies and their Policy Administration service providers for the Reinsurance Renewal ? Liaise with all Underwriting Management Agencies to determine the underwriting capacity needed for the new underwriting year ? Help with the preparation of data to present to the reinsurance markets ? Assist with the drafting of the presentation of reinsurance data and agency requirements to the reinsurance market, both lead and following markets ? Follow up on specific queries the reinsurers may have ? Ensure that the reinsurers have the necessary information to make an informed decision to participate on both the proportional and non-proportional programs. ? Assist with the compilation and finalisation of the necessary treaty documentation to complete the placement of the reinsurance cover by the end of the month following the renewal. ? Be prepared to help negotiate and place Quota Share, Excess of Loss, Stop Loss, Top Up Liability covers to the agencies and company ? Develop and maintain relationships with reinsurers and reinsurance brokers where applicable ? Give feedback to the Underwriting Management Agencies to correct data errors ? Assist with the negotiation and preparation of any endorsements to the current treaty arrangements.
acultative and Special Acceptance Placements and Administration

? Co-ordinate with the Underwriting Management Agencies in finalising facultative placements and endorsements with them ? Co-ordinate with the Underwriting Management Agencies and reinsurers to ensure prompt issuing of cover notes and debit notes for Facultative placements where necessary ? Maintain and update the Facultative payment register to ensure all placements have been settled ? Ensure that all Facultative debit notes are settled during the month of issue ? Maintain a good working relationship with the markets that provide us with Facultative support ? Assist with the development of new markets for the placement of Facultative covers ? Maintain a register of all special acceptances that have been granted on a quarterly basis ? Report to the reinsurers of all special acceptances in force

Meeting and Attendance at UMAs/Market Functions/Seminars/ Workshops

? Develop and maintain relationships with Underwriting Management Agencies ? Attendance at market seminars / workshops that have relevance to employment / job functions ? Agency functions / workshops / strategic sessions ? Assist the claims team in recovering SASRIA claims promptly when assistance is required.

SASRIA ? Liaising with the agencies regarding any queries relating to SASRIA. ? Communicating with the agencies on SASRIA ? Review the monthly SASRIA premium payment. ? Liaise with the SASRIA auditors as and when necessary ? Co-ordinate SASRIA training with the agencies and Company's’ staff.
