Location: Woodstock, Cape Town
Salary: R300k -R400k per annum
Hours: 09h00-17h00, Monday – Friday (may need to be flexible based on project demands)

Requirements:
Masters degree in development studies, social sciences, economics, statistics or similar
Min 2-3 years’ experience research and/or evaluation project management,
Demonstrated knowledge of social science research (especially survey design and data analysis) and evaluation methodologies
Analytical mind, strong quantitative data analysis skills and highly proficient in MS Office and statistical software (SPSS or STATA)
A keen interest in and knowledge of social and economic development priorities in the SADC region
Experience and understanding of how government departments and ministries integrate research into their planning and strategy processes
Excellent writing and communications skills in English and an ability to translate complex problems and results into accessible language and other communications

Key tasks:
Design research and evaluation projects and prepare detailed proposals and briefs
Recruitment, training and management of enumeration teams
Conduct data analysis, write research reports and give presentations on the research findings
Attend and facilitate client and stakeholder meetings as required for functions above
Monitor project progress including quality of research, work flow and operational costs
