As the Retail and Insights Analyst (part of the Africa, Middle East, South East Asia, and Turkey team), you will be working very closely with a small team of experienced Consultants to help Clients identify and capture purpose-led growth opportunities. Your key job responsibilities as the Retail and Insights Analyst in Johannesburg will include:

- Listen for key Client issues and/or business questions and effectively articulate how various solutions - tools, research, data-sets, reports and analyses etc. - can answer them via the delivery of a selling proposal
- Work efficiently and effectively to execute project plans using the key tools, research/ analytic methodologies and data sources of the group
- Build and maintain a suite of locally developed Excel-based tools, which employ advanced VBA coding and strong design principles to fulfil specific client needs
- Bring expertise, or develop expertise, analytical tools such as RichMix or SKU Rat and become a local centre of excellence for global analytical assets
- Work with Client Directors to identify opportunities and confidently showcase analytical solutions and tools in front of Clients
- Visualize quantitative and qualitative information effectively, creating desktop ready PowerPoint slides with appropriate data charts, headlines, and key takeaways
- Effectively present insights from completed projects, telling stories from data, highlighting implications and articulating legitimate reasons behind conclusions drawn
- Elevate existing deliverables and methodologies employed in our organization through creative freedom and inspiration
- Project manage external vendors who provide the platforms for some Retail tools

Requirements for this Retail and Insights Analyst job in Johannesburg:

- A Bachelor’s Degree or greater in an analytically rigorous field such as business, economics, finance, mathematics, computer science, or engineering
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills and experience working with analytical software such as Excel or SPSS to clean, analyze, and extract key insights from large datasets
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with an advanced understanding of VBA programming
- Interest and desire to work in the fields of Consulting, Analytics, Shopper/Consumer Research, CPG Manufacturers, Sales, and/or Marketing
