A busy steel and hardware merchant requires a motivated person to merchandise products, stimulate sales, supervise sales staff, service customers, control stock, introduce new products and ranges, control cash – up’s, achieve sales and G.P budgets,, handle promotional work (retail, digital and social media), oversee the store layout, focus on generating sales, prepare budgets, weekly reports etc. purchase steel and hardware products at best market price directly from the steel mill or other steel merchants.
Requirements
3 or more years’ recent experience running a busy steel and hardware retail outlet as a Manager
Strong trading and selling skills
Recent management experience
Matric
Own transport
Computer literate (Ms Office Suite and an ERP system)

Please note you will be required to work retail hours(Monday to Thursday 7.30 to 17h00 and Fridays until 16h30 as well as alternative Saturdays and Public Holidays from 8am to 1pm.
