Job Description:

Document control of all risk control policies. Maintain investigation reports of a standard that are fit to stand the test of an external due diligence and that will be fit to serve adequately in any disciplinary, civil or criminal case. Performance of explosives audits, firearms audits, access control
Implement security and crime prevention controls. Ensure controls identified are fed in to the Mine control framework. Risk control policies and procedures are to be aligned to best practice and compliant with applicable legislation and regulation. Conduct monthly audits as identified by BU and report to relevant management. Identify potential security threats and report to relevant management. Implement, execute and maintain EXCO approved risk control strategies and standards. Implement and maintain a personnel security plan, background investigations, prevention plan and related activities.

Roles and Responsibilities:
• Planning: design an efficient document management system (DMS) and assist in the preparation of operating plans, budgets and capital
expenditure proposals for the implementation of the DMS in the PSO.
• Governance: achieving outstanding document management and control in all areas of the project ensuring that policies, procedures, guidelines and mining and operational standards are updated and remain appropriate.
• Scheduling: develop document management and control schedules that are fully integrated with project schedules and operational plans.
• Behaviour: exhibiting personal behaviour consistent with the company Safety and Health Standards and Codes of Conduct, and influencing others to do the same within the DMS area.
• Teamwork: participating in the Project Team activities to ensure that the DMS serves to promote the achievement of project targets, resource exploitation, capital management, cost control, safe working, employee development, environmental management and good corporate governance.
• Procurement: ensuring that project teams and consultants use a uniform method of procurement in compliance with the Company procedures within the DMS area
• Cost Control: adhering to the Project Budget for Project DMS design and implementation
• Contract Management: understanding and applying the necessary documentation required for the receipt and administration of construction and supply contracts in the PSO.
• Audits: monitor the efficiency of the DMS as it relates to Technical and Project Management methods, and make or recommend any necessary changes and improvements.
• Capex: identifying departmental Capex Project Budget costs and providing estimates and budgets for each new financial year or for any other time period as required by the Company
• Opex: identifying needs related to the project DMS with regard to staffing, equipment and development costs and providing competent estimates and budgets for each new financial year or for any other time period as required by the Company. Departmental costs must be regularly reviewed, analysed and reported on as a function of the costs of current major working cost (or capital cost projects)

Experience:
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Risk control and investigations in a mining environment,
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an operational exposure to crime prevention and security risk.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in risk control and investigations in a mining environment, operational exposure to crime prevention and security risk
.
Education and Qualifications
• Grade 12
• B Degree (Relevant) ( Essential/Minimum )
• Certificate First Line Management ( Essential/Minimum )
• Computer literate
