A Leading FMCG Company based in the East Rand is looking for a Risk Manager.

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

To ensure all risks (including but not limited to shrinkage, safety, security and health) within the division are effectively managed by introducing and maintaining the Risk Control Program, based on the Group standards.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
• Implement and audit the Group Risk Control Program, comprising of security, fire defense, motor vehicles, safety, insurance, emergency planning and complying with legal requirements.
• Ensure that all staff receives adequate training on Safety, First Aid and other relevant issues.
• Develop effective systems to monitor/control risk control expenditure, and submit monthly risk control report to Senior Management.
• Ensure that internal register is maintained for recording of claims raised by departments in the division in respect of accidents/losses.
• Ensure that all safety equipment are regularly checked, tested and maintained, by carrying out weekly checks/tests
• Ensure DC compliance to shrinkage control procedures and policies.
• Ensure statutory compliance and auditor’s satisfaction within DC.
• To coordinate/implement/be part of investigations into loss of any nature
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE
• Matric
• National Diploma in Safety Management or Risk Control will be advantageous
• At least 5 years’ experience in Risk Control with hands on experience of criminal investigations risk audits and assessments.
• A legal qualification will be strongly recommended
• Knowledge of relevant legislation
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure
• Essential to be able to work with people
• Willing to work overtime when necessary
