Requirements
A formal HSE qualification will be advantageous.
SAMTRAC Qualification
NOSA – Develop, implement and Maintain HSE Systems and Policies
Experience on Mine and Construction sites
Minimum of 5 years’ experience

Duties include but not limited to:

Compiling Safety files for all projects, ensuring the company is compliant as per client requirements.
Ensures that subcontractors health and safety are compliant and their safety file are up to date
Arranging Internal HSE meetings with SHE Reps as well as site walks, transferring skill.
Toolbox talks and inductions
Monthly Safety audit reports
Compiling She Plans
Risk identification, evaluation and development of safe work procedures
Conduct hazard analysis and take necessary corrective action
Ensure all accidents, incidents are reported, recorded and well investigated
Ensure safety reps conduct monthly inspections and that it is recorded and records are kept of such
Ensure that contractors comply with Health and Safety specifications
Establishing of fall Protection Plans
Issue non-conformances and keep records thereof
Ensure the implementation of the company systems procedures in respect of Health and Safety
Ensure all statistics are maintained on site regarding accidents, injuries, man hours, lost time, risk assessments, safe working procedures and all other records are kept
Ensure that all training needs are identified and implemented
Handling of all PPE for Projects
Ensuring Safety Audits are done timeously
Maintaining and updating of all Safety Management Systems
