Purpose:
To provide specialist assistance to customers and internal sales personnel by acting on a variety of requests including, but not limited to, quotes, sample requests, pricing related projects, vendor contact and other sales related activities that will support sales associates in achieving their targets.
Key responsibilities
Identify the needs of a customer and provide a chance for meeting those needs through the purchase of products and services + Sustainability of sales
Geographical territory: Gauteng – (specific area to be defined)
Manage a particular sales territory to create a customer base by maintaining contact and build lasting relationships with customers as well as obtaining new business opportunities with new customer acquisitions.
Customer base will consist of Merchants, Wholesalers, Key account customers; Contractors, Cash Customers, regulatory bodies (Municipalities & Water Boards), key stakeholders (Specifying professionals)
Guide potential customers to understand / express their requirements and then offer the best solution to make sure that those needs are fulfilled.
Meet or exceed the yearly objectives as agreed by management
Market PAM products and services.
Monitor latest market trends and remain updated on product knowledge
Development of innovative and creative sales techniques are also part of the job
Analyse sales statistics and determine sales potential and inventory requirements.
All such duties and/or activities assigned by management/board as and when required.
Computer generated reports: all necessary information accumulated through weekly/monthly sales reports as well as using a CRM system on project tracking.
Product presentations via power point & physical presentation using show trailer.
Monthly EHS responsibilities – (SMAT audits).
Conform to compulsory group online conformance training i.e. Adhere; Competition law; etc.
Benchmarking of service, product and selling price
Collaboration with other departments and with the Project/export department whenever needed under the guidance of / and report to Project Manager

Minimum Requirements
Matric
Relevant Sales/Marketing/Administration Qualification preferable or with
Civil/Engineering/technical background
Minimum 5 years related experience in normal sales & distribution markets with in the construction industry, specifically in the Civil/Plumbing.
Computer Literacy – (MS- office package)( CRM system knowledge)
Good negotiations and networking skills and ability to deal with a variety of customer and client companies. (Merchants; contractors; Municipalities; Water Boards; end-users & Specifying professionals)
Availability to travel extensively within a designated territory.
Presentation skills .i.e. Reports etc
Ability to follow through on sales cycles (from identification to order) within the required deadlines.
Ability to establish forecasting.
Ability to exercise the proper benchmarking of the competition and report it in an action-oriented manner
