Sales Coordinator - Cape Town CBD

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
Reporting directly to the Sales Manager , the successful incumbent is expected to provide and maintain the quality and standards of the hotel within a pressurized environment and in accordance with Policies and Procedures and responsible to provide a support and administrative function to the Sales Department :
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• An appropriate recognised qualification would be advantageous
• Two to three years experience in a similar position in a Hotel environment
• Literacy in Microsoft packages
REQUIREMENTS , RESPONSIBILITIES AND COMPETENCIES:
• Preference will be given to South African citizens
• Diary management and co-ordination
• Effective communication, problem solving, decision making and conflict management skills
• Excellent telephone skills and etiquette.
• Strong planning and organizing skills to meet deadlines with regards to the operational requirements within the Sales Department
• Perform an efficient administrative support function as and when required
• Ability to work without supervision and within a team
• Attention to detail pertaining to area of responsibility
• Quality and customer service driven
• Ability to use Initiative and be proactive and self-driven
• Professional and pleasant disposition
• Responsible for Travel related arrangements for the Sales Department
• To complete additional tasks as and where directed by Sales Manager
