We are looking for an experienced Sales Coordinator to be based at a 5 star establishment in Pretoria.Meet clients and understand needs and BudgetAdminister all required information pertaining to menus, pricing, conference style etc.Continuous communication between client and Resort DepartmentsSite inspection with clientOversee the set-up of the function according to client needsPresent at FunctionPost mortem with clientFollow up on Billing/PaymentMarketing of the Hotel and creating specific eventsExpand and further develop all phases of banqueting businessMaintain lose liaison, teamwork and communication among staffWork with management and other heads of departments at all times and assist in carrying out special requirements and duties necessary in adding to the guests general comfort and well being.Assist with typing of the Banquet and Sales Managers correspondence, i.e. answering mail, confirming banquet arrangements, menus, memos etcEstablish and improve the reputation of the hotel by offering a very personalized style of service to the highest possible standardStudy requirements of all booked banquets and functions to familiarize and ascertain the possibility of selling additional facilities, to produce extra revenueFollow up and develop all banquet inquiriesTo be familiar with all phases and material relating to banquets and functionsCompose, publish and distribute to all department heads and personnel who are involved in servicing banquets, a daily function and weekly function sheetAssist with the typing of the event ordersMaintain a close liaison with the credit controller regarding the client’s credit standingMake full arrangements and details with prospective and/or booked banquets etc. for all of the activities, including when necessary and in conjunction with reservations, the booking of sleeping accommodationDistribute promptly to all hotel participants notice of any change whatsoever in the banquet specifications issuedIn servicing group functions comply in every respect with the agreement made at the time of booking the eventPerform all duties assigned efficiently and economicallyComply with all policies and approved practices of the hotel and comply and/or executive promptly all orders and requests required.Educational Requirements:MatricMarketing and Sales diploma or degree an advantageMajor Skills Required:4 years Hotel/Conference Sales service sales experience i.e. Rental companies, travel & tourism or hospitalityExisting databaseOwn transportLaptopExceptional interpersonal and communication skillsGood negotiation and closing skillsPresentablePlease submit your application with a professional photo of yourself and contactable references.
