We have an exciting opportunity in the HVAC sector for a Mechanical Engineer, Johannesburg

Purpose

To provide engineering support, equipment and design services to consulting engineers with the main emphasis on promoting company’s Brand to be specified and considered.

Key responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

Management and attention of Mechanical Consulting Practices
Project portfolio, Commercial air conditioning (CAC) growth and management
LATS Design of MULTI V System tenders and enquiries
Submitting of visit and sales planning reports
Management, attention and updating of BRMS System and all related administration
Ensure that the company’s Brand is preferred by Consulting Practices
Management of Mechanical Consultants data base and profile
Projects Access, Spec-in to Award ratio
Assist with the design and quotes of Room air conditioning (AC) & CAC and Multi V system ensuring clients understand the full range of features and design benefits
Contact with all Mechanical Consulting Engineers, Specifying Authorities and Developers
Provide the best Engineering Support and Design to our customers
Provide engineering support and attend to technical queries

Reporting

Weekly feedback to management regarding training conducted
Reporting quality related issues to factories and HQ on a monthly basis
Monthly report on effectiveness of training conducted
Prepare presentations, proposals and plans as and when requested
IQC reports on new products when necessary

Candidate Requirements:

Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
3 – 5 years HVAC experience required
Knowledge and good understanding of HVAC
MS Office at high level
Possession of a reliable vehicle and a valid driver’s licence

Understanding of HVAC design and mechanical engineering procedures
Quality oriented deliverables on selection of HVAC equipment, reports and installation best practice
Stock planning, project supply and on-time delivery management expertise
Can take Initiative and diligence in disciplined work environment
Ablity to work in a team, ensure division efficiency in turn around times
Technical knowledge of computer assisted design (CAD) software and related software products (3D, Revit, Autodesk products)
Innovative and creative thinker
Proficient computer and application skills
Keen decision making capabilities
Honesty, integrity and ethical conduct at all times
Ability to function under pressure
Good Communication(verbal & written) and interpersonal skills as well as presentation skills
Willingness and ability to travel nationally and internationally when required
