Purpose of the Job:

A world class engineering company involved in the food and chemical sector are looking for a Sales Engineer Intern.

1. Required Qualifications

• Matric (Maths Core/ Maths HG)
• National Diploma (S4) in Mechanical Engineering

2. Technical Competencies & Experience:

• Trained & experienced with Auto-cad 2D (or similar) drawing package - ESSENTIAL
• Sales Environment experience – advantageous
• Work with Design & Sales Team to interpret customer requirements & deliver solutions
• Suggest improvements that might lead to cost saving &/or other client benefits
• Create & Provide Quotations & handover technical info to Design team
• Draw develop concept drawings, E.g. Plant Layouts, Process & Instrument diagrams
• Marketing & market development
• Co-Ordinating Sales Projects & creating sales data base for costing (Estimating tools)
• Support procurement & planning function - preparation & submission of project schedules
• Installation – Assisting with projects & project timelines/tracking
• Strong MS skills - Outlook, Word, Excel & Power Point
• Valid SA driver’s license & own transport
• Willingness to travel & devote long hours to challenging sales projects & proposals
