THE BOARDROOM-REFRESHING RECRUITMENT seeks a CORPORATE SALES EXECUTIVE for our client, an opulent and high -end 5* hotel which forms a part of a global hotel group. To source & secure business from the Government sector. If you meet the criteria below, then I would like to hear from you!Functions: Assist the Sales Manager in order to maximise revenues of the Hotel by driving maximum contribution from all producing segments through the various sources. Actively seek and secure new business whilst responding to client enquiries regarding accommodation, conferences and exhibitions. A solid understanding of the PCO (Government focus), TMC (Government focus) and Government markets mandatory.Required Experience & Qualifications:
Sales experience (2 year sales / travel experience minimum)
Good understanding of the PCO (Government focus), TMC (Government focus), and Government markets
Good communication skills
Ability to work without supervision
Team orientation
Goal orientated
Results & target driven
Ability to Travel
Own vehicle and drivers licence
Key Responsibilities:
Find new business for the company whilst maintaining existing relationships with current clients to maximise hotel revenue/sales.
Responsible for maximizing revenue in various areas, like banquets, rooms, restaurants etc
Promote and actively sell promotional activities at the Hotel to increase sales and customer retention
Assist in developing and implementing the sales & marketing plan for the unit
Build an accurate and effective database of current and potential guests/accounts and categorise database based on production and potential – Local and International
Maintain accurate and up to date information on competitions performance, sales & marketing strategy etc
Handle various segment accounts for the hotel and maximize revenue generation from these accounts through cold calling and relevant required face-to-face appointments per week
Ensure high occupancy of banquets and co-ordinate with the banquet team on various functions
Assist in preparation of revenue budgets for room and the various outlets
Identify key customer needs through formal research, survey, sales calls & meetings
Implement revenue management techniques and ensure improved occupancies and RevPAR
Build relationships, network & maintain regular contacts with corporate and individual customers, bookers, media, hoteliers and socialites
Be informed about the trends in hospitality, changing customer needs and behaviour, and developments in other industries
Site inspections and hosted functions at the hotel as per minimum requirements
Promote and actively sell Food and Beverage promotions
A solid understanding of the PCO (Government focus), TMC (Government focus) and Government markets.
Existing and strong relationships in place with key clients
Assist in selling / promoting globally
