Staff Connection is seeking a Southern Africa Sales Executive for our client! To be based in Cape Town. The Sales Executive will hold the responsibility for top line revenue generation for the Southern and East African lodges encompassing both offline and integrated online sales activities. The focus will be on sales through various trade channels including Inbound, Retail and Corporate channels to sell and promote our Southern and East African lodges. The Sales Executive will work closely with the reservations team in Johannesburg towards the ultimate goal of maximizing bed nights and revenues into the lodges.KEY OUTPUTS:Understanding and full utilization of travel sales networkThe Sales Executive will require a detailed understanding and full utilization of the travel sales network at multiple levels as part of a multi-channel business, including but not limited to:Understand and maximize the complex relationships and buying patterns in our multichannel businessManage markets and implement innovative sales strategies, within the Group-wide discounting and commission structures, reacting to changing circumstances to maximize rate and bed nights into the lodgesIdentify, prioritise and have a current knowledge of key players in the respective markets, with the ability to network with, develop these and other key relationships in the targeted marketsCreate and execute a Southern African Inbound sales strategy which is aligned to the Global sales strategy, Group profitability, REVPAR, and occupancy objectivesRepresent the brand at a senior level with key industry figures and key clientsRevenue Generation and Strategic ResponsibilitiesSales Management & DevelopmentSales/Brand Representation & Negotiatingo Representing the company and the brand at major sales/trade show eventso Develop a detailed understanding of the marketing drivers that drive revenueo Creating and conducting proposal presentations and the company responseso Conducting appropriate follow up until deals are closedFinanceControl expenses to meet budget guidelinesAchieve targets for revenue, profitability and sales growthResponsibilitiesPrepare, execute and coordinate against the strategic sales plan to penetrate the following regions – Western Cape and NamibiaSearch for sales leads and prospectsAssist in the development and implementation of marketing plans as neededConduct reviews with all Southern African Reservations team members to build more effective communications, to understand training and development needs, and to provide insight for the improvement of sales and activity performanceProvide timely feedback to Southern African Reservations teams regarding performanceDemonstrate ability to interact, cooperate and mentor all employeesWork within broader company sales CRM systemGenerate monthly reports in line with central reporting standards, timeframes and guidelinesEXPERIENCE REQUIRED:Sales and luxury tourism product experience preferredExposure to world class sales management/ transformation and digital/e-commerce practices a distinct advantageProven track record of achieving and exceeding stretch sales targetsExperience with enterprise software solutions and large, complex organizationsExtensive experience in all aspects of Supplier Relationship ManagementStrong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirementsWillingness to travel and work in a global team of professionalsQUALIFICATIONS:At least 3 to 5 years proven Inbound Sales track record / Applicable Degree/ DiplomaNon negotiables:Based in Cape TownMust have at least 3 years’ experience as a Sales Exec and definitely luxury travel segmentDriver’s License Should you not receive a response within 2 weeks, consider your application unsuccessful.
