Kendrick Recruitment have an opportunity available for a hospitality experienced Sales Executive, with a large, brand new hotel in the exciting Maboneng precinct, downtown Johannesburg. This hotel forms part of a well-known lodge, hotel and reserve hospitality group. The hotel is due to open later this year and as such we are seeking to fill the position of Sales Executive for the Hotel.SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREDMinimum of 2 years’ experience in a sales position within the hospitality industryComputer literate: MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and OutlookSales diploma and/or equivalentMust have excellent interpersonal and communication skillsMust have an eye for detailMust be able to plan, prioritise and work well under pressure, in a dynamic environmentMust be a good team player and also have the ability and motivation to work under own instructionExcellent sales, influencing and negotiation skillsExcellent public relations skillsThe ability to conclude contractsCorporate sales knowledge advantageousThe ability to grow existing client baseKEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESComplete all required reports (daily, weekly, monthly)Attend all required meetingsProvide a daily sales update to the Sales ManagerAttend scheduled client visits to promote and sell the properties as per the Sales PlanComplete daily targeted sales callsEnsure smooth flow of information through-out the properties and departmentFollow up on outstanding queries and escalate where necessaryEnsure client contracts have been concluded and sent to the relevant clientsUpdating the Database and CRM systemEnsure that the administration and records in the department are being kept in accordance with group standardsPlan and manage all FAM trips and site inspectionsIdentify opportunities for the acquisition of new clientsAttend all relevant and agreed upon trade showsRetains and manage the necessary records, detailing progress with clients and adheres to the “Chase System”Develops and fosters good relationships with the key clients of the properties, be it corporate, retail, government, production or travel trade.Salary: R20,000 per month (CTC) - negotiable to the right candidateShould you feel you are the ideal candidate for this position, please apply with your updated CV, written reference letters and a recent head & shoulders photo ASAP.Please note: Due to high volumes of applications received, should you not receive correspondence from us within seven (7) working days of submitting your application, please consider your application for this position as unsuccessful.
