The role requires significant interaction with clients both internally (internal divisions) and externally. Tasks are varied and include:
· Identifying and understanding customer specific business requirements and promoting of BDS Software and Services product knowledge to meet those needs.
· Leverage off existing account relationships while working with current account owners to showcase software and services portfolio.
· Cold-calling in order to create interest in the software and services portfolio of products and services.
· Generate new business leads and arrange meetings with correct support staff/ colleagues.
· Interact and communicate clear requirements between the Software Pre Sales Analysts, Account Managers and customers.
· Interact and work with project management, and pre sales to deliver affective projects.
· Identify and develop new business through networking and follow-up calls.
· Effectively prepare and deliver customer presentations around software and services offering.
· Work with the Software Product Manager to market and promote the software and services product portfolio.
· Feedback client information to Software management, Pre Sales and Product Management that will help in better service delivery.
· Maintain awareness of the changes within the Software and Services portfolio.
· Develop an effective sales plan using a defined sales methodology, present all opportunities on a regular basis to Software management.
· Mature identified opportunities to Contract status.
· Interact with all relevant parties to conclude customer contracts, SLA’s and any other sales related documentation.
· Continuously align, during project deliverables, customers’ expectations with requirements and agreed deliverables.
· Attend all relevant project and scoping meetings.
· Provide a high level of technical advice to customers on all aspects of the BDS Software portfolio.
· Meet sales targets set by managers and contributing to team targets
· Networking with existing customers in order to maintain links and promote additional products and upgrades;
· Handle hardware or Software problems and faults and refer to specialist technical colleagues
· Respond to tender documents, writing proposals, reports and supporting literature
· Contributing to team or progress meetings to update and inform colleagues.
Job requirements
· 5 + years successful sales experience in a high pressure, heavy workload environment
· Successful proven track record in negotiating high value products/services or solutions/software contracts
· Able to work within a very fast changing environment and to manage in situations where there is a high degree of ambiguity and uncertainty
· Must have good leadership skills
· Must be fluent in English and able to communicate well on all levels
· Must be PC literate
· Must be results driven and a self-starter
· Must have a high level of integrity
