Sales Executive (Pretoria) - Concrete & Construction Industry

Head office is based in Roodepoort but this position is for the Pretoria region.
Leading Group in the Concrete and Construction industry is looking for an experienced Sales Executive for their Pretoria Business Unit.

EDUCATION, SKILLS & WORK EXPERIENCE:

Matric
Appropriate Marketing & Sales qualification or relevant technical background
5 years experience with either Contractors or or Consultants in Civil Engineering
Computer literate (MS Office Suite)

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

Knowledge to read tender documents and work out products required
Internal Sales control and Industrial Sales experience
Good communication and administrative skills
Interpersonal skills
Must be results orientated
Ability to build good relationships and partnerships
Must be in possession of a valid drivers licence

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Active procuring of orders for the Business Unit
Investigating market requirements, needs and trends through personal visits to external organisations and customers
Inspecting all media publications to keep abreast of developments and trends in the industry
Promoting client products for their use
Plan, organise and control factory tours and promotional seminars
Seek new markets for existing and new products
Record keeping of competitor activity and price reviewing if necessary
Update existing marketing and project data and present to the Regional Sales Manager
Reviewing of contract requirements in regard to:
: Manufacturing facilities
: Design reviews
: Specials and alternative products
: Cost products (factory variable, transport etc)
Attend site inspections
Make appointments with all major contractors in regard to suppliers preference, product preference, rate of supply, cash flow and credit requirements
Discuss tender results with clients to determine likely awards
Price and issue quotations
Agree final terms of supply with successful contractors, close the sale and secure the order
