Sales & Marketing Manager for rapidly growing Wine Brand

 

Located in the foothills of the Helderburg region of Stellenbosch, cooled by summer breezes off False Bay and combining with the other terroir elements, this region known as the Golden Triangle is where the Wines are grown and produced

 

Job purpose:

Motivated Wine Sales & Marketing Manager to drive Effective and efficient execution of sales functions at outlet level thereby driving growth of the Portfolio. Focus is on expanding sales

 

·       Must be Adept at developing and executing effective marketing plans

·       Must Compile list of sales objectives and work with management to set and meet targets

·       Make regular sales calls to designated accounts to maintain customer relationships and expand customer network

·       Research, organize and present sales reports/quota attainment results as required by management 

·       Demonstrate sales abilities through successful presentations of product, the promotion of new and existing portfolio items and the expansion of the customer base

·       Exhibit discipline and resourcefulness to meet/exceed assigned monthly quotas and placement objectives

·       Recommend, create/design wine lists for customers, and wine by the glass programs utilizing full knowledge our portfolio

·       Management of stock holdings throughout the warehouses across the country

·       Work flexible hours which could include evenings, and/or weekends or, overnight travel as required for special events and other trips

·       Assist with the evaluation of new wine products

·       Develop and implement training programs

·       Management of the Tasting Room and control of all deliveries (Both inbound and outbound)

·       Assisting the accounts department with stock management, sales forecasting, inventory control, general requirements of the department

·       Present self with integrity, professionalism and commitment

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree, minimum of 5 years of industry related sales experience within distribution and wine sales
  • Must have Ability to develop and implement effective marketing strategies 
  • Advanced understanding of wine, various wine brands to include regions/varietals, product/food pairing techniques, basic production, and service
  • Proficient in the use of various software programs and applications  Possess a dependable vehicle, valid driver's license,
  • Goal oriented, focused, and assertive individual who needs little direction or supervision and is a self-starter, with good communication skills.
  • Proficient at calculating commissions, percentages, and reviewing comparative sales data for analysis.
