MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Product Manager will be responsible for the product management lifecycle within Product Category for Region / Country / Market
KEY ACTIVITIES
- Product life cycle management (strategy, plan, tracking, update)
- Sell-in sales focused
- Profit Growth
- Disty's PSI management
- Promotional Activity & Retail Market Budgets
- Market intelligence / research
- Relationship management & alignment
- Manage Product Category Life Cycle and Support for Region/Country
- Develop PM Strategy & Long term & Short term plan for Regional / Country Product Category / Budget, Expense Mgt / Product Identification, Channel Mix / Price / Promotions & Channel to market.
- PLC Management
- Pricing Strategy
- Create Local Launch Plan for all new Product Launches
- Promotion Planning & Tracking (sell-out)
- Track Forecast Sell In / Sell trough / Sell out, Market / Channel Info and actions with Regional/Country KAM/KCM/Retail Team & Sales Leads / Market Support Team
- Manage Sales Efficiencies [sell-in / sell-through / sell-out] with Regional/Country KAM/KCM/Retail Team & Sales Leads / Market Support Team
- Liaise weekly/monthly/quarterly with Regional/Country KAM/KCM/Retail Team & Sales Leads / Market Support Team to address PSI & promotional activity & Retail Market Budgets
- Analyze all Sales data with Regional/Country KAM/KCM/Retail Team & Sales Leads / Market Support Team & suggest new strategies for product segment(s)
- Region / Country Market Sensing, analysis and requirements – strategy, channel to market, sales & profit, market & economic trends, benchmarking, competitor comparison and Price Index
- Maintain communication channels with all SCA Stakeholders & HQ GBMs
- Support development of training strategy, preparation and rollout of training for region / country
REQUIREMENTS
- Grade 12/Matric – Essential
- A relevant Degree/ Diploma Marketing or Product Management
- 5 years PM & Product Launch experience in FMCG – Essentia
- Must be able to travel regularly

- Profit Management
- Channel & Retail Innovation / local market development experience in Africa
- Data based Sales vs. PM role understanding
- Sell-through, Sell-out & Point of Purchase marketing experience advantage
- 3-5 years PM / Sales experience within the Consumer Electronics Industry will be advantage
