Minimum skills requirements:

• Grade 12 or equivalent
• Relevant qualification in sales and marketing
• Computer Literate and Syspro knowledge advantageous
• Minimum 3 years sales experience in manufacturing environment

Must have:

• Excellent communication skills
• Own reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license
• Must be able to cope under pressure
• Must be honest, reliable and hard working
• Must be result driven and ability to meet targets and deadlines
• Ability to focus on accomplishment of goals and integration of organizational objectives
• Excellent interpersonal relationship skills and team player
• Strong understanding of quality and customer service relations
• Excellent planning, organizing and record keeping ability

Key performance area:

• Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from newspapers, business directories, industry ads,
trade shows etc.
• Quotes prices and credit terms and prepares sales contracts for orders obtained
• Obtains credit information on prospective customers and forwards findings to office
• Ensures client orders are correctly interpreted and communicated with support, production and logistics staff
• Develops and maintains professional relationships with customers
• Market and develop products
• Attends sales meetings and report on sales
• Attends trade shows
• Achieves monthly sales targets
• Investigates and resolves customer queries
