Sales Specialist

Location: Home Office to be set up in Johannesburg
Salary: R25k per month

Purpose of the Role:
To manage and build relationships with all Government organizations in the Gauteng and greater regions. Large role in new business for travel to the hotel in the form of transient, group and banqueting business not forgetting new and existing business development for global partner hotels.
Position is disciplined and requires a head strong person who can work on their own successfully. Following strategies is essential but the ability to react to market changes immediately is key to the growth in all segments.

Requirements:
Applicant has to have at least 1- 3 years’ experience in the hospitality industry or experience within a sale or hotel department preferred
Candidate should reside in Gauteng.
Previous Government position & knowledge of the segment advantageous
Excellent oral and written communication skills

Duties:
Develop and implement sales strategies for Government segment
Plan, organize and manage all sales activities
Identify, analyze and implement new methods and techniques to determine sales growth
Analyze the company's sales policies and recommend proper improvements and changes
Achieve sales budget
Handle promotional materials
Compile and track sales data
Participate at trade fairs and other events
Handle both field and indoor sales activities relating to the Government portfolio
Builds, directs, manages, and ensures implementation and effectiveness of all government departments, and travel agent strategies throughout the year.
Maintains and develops relationships between client and property through corporate, government and travel agent segments.
Creates and inspires existing clients and new business clients to make use of local and international properties.
Contracting and negotiating processes are followed and extreme care is exercised when dealing with all clients.
