Our client is a premium world class automotive products manufacturer established for over 100 years. The are looking for a contract based SAP Archiving Specialist to do the following:

SAP Archiving , Details of Main Tasks:

Operations and Projects
? Data Archiving
? Current status of SAP database
? Analysing database and table growth - DB monitoring ongoing process for Operations
? Archiving timeline
? Data Analysis - Object level
? Scheduling and monitoring all data archiving jobs
? Technical Customizing
? Activation of Archive Info Structures
? Assistance in training users (where relevant) on archive document retrieval
? New Storage System migration testing
? Upgrade testing (Archiving and Storage)
? Set up and monitor periodic Archive Jobs - Execution of archive runs
? Research/resolve/re-run failed archive sessions
? Monitor Archiving Statistics program & Update Date Descriptions
? Manage expired Archive Info Structures
? Respond to Business & Audit Requests
? Monitor data volume analysis
? Analysing database and table growth - weekly DB analysis and table row count reports
? Coordinate Table and Index Reorganizations
? Resolve storage problems with Sulzer and EMC
? EWA monitoring (Early Watch Analysis)
? Job monitoring when servers go down (ticket logging, job stop, monitoring etc.
? Research SAP Notes
Leadership tasks
? Ensure that agreed company policies and procedures are adhered to
? Ensure user appreciation of the principles of system development
? Provide assistance to users in evaluating system proposals
? Ensure that team members adhere

Minimum qualifications and Skills required

Finance related degree or SAP Certification
At least 5 years experience as a SAP Consultant
Must be willing to travel to Germany and Brazil regularly
Extensive experience in Applications Operations

Good understanding of system landscape and design.

Technical Customizing

Data Archiving

Analysing database and table growth - DB monitoring ongoing process for Operations

Good problem solving capabilities are necessary to investigate and propose alternate solutions.

Creation of archiving objects

SAP Modules such as SAP ERP , SAP CRM , SAP BW , SAP SRM
Other requirements:

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong ability to understand and interpret Business needs and requirements with the ability to move concepts through to proposal and finally successful implementation.
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills with ability to communicate effectively (both verbally and written) with both technical and non-technical colleagues / users.
Strong Presentation skills.
Should be willing to deal with (talk to) our customers.
Ability to work as part of a team, inter dependant as well as independently and submit deliverables on time and in excellent quality. SELF STARTER.
Above board work ethics – this is of utmost importance.
Flexibility to take up different tasks in the project.
Ability and willingness to coach and give training to fellow colleagues and users when required.
Willing and able to travel extensively, for up to 2 weeks at a time (international).
