SAP Payroll Auditor

Location: Goodwood, Cape Town
Salary: R20k per month

Purpose of the Role:
This person will be responsible and accountable to manage the full audit of Remuneration and benefits to ensure accurate Employee Salaries, Wages and payments to third parties.

Requirements:
Matric
Related 3 year tertiary degree
Excellent analytical and numerical ability
Advanced MS office skills particularly EXCEL
Strong inclination for process design and process improvement
Knowledge of the SAP Payroll system and the data that can be extracted for Remuneration analytics.
In depth knowledge of the latest SAP payroll technology –HR, Payroll and Time managers Workplace
E.g. Positive and negative evaluations, work schedules, absences, substitutions, absence quotas, overtime, attendances.
In depth knowledge of all relevant taxation and HR related legislation as well as the legal framework regarding fringe benefits, Medical aid, Pension Funds.
Knowledge or previous experience in Unionised working environment.

Duties:
Auditing:
Designing audit procedures and audit controls by detailing the scope, nature and timing of audit activities.
Conduct SAP HR Input audits to assess the adequacy, effectiveness and efficiency of the established internal controls and procedures - Ensuring accurate and efficient input of Payroll input and Timekeeping.
Prepare audit reports for weekly and monthly payrolls and Timekeeping input.
Guide subordinates as to error solving and finalizing outstanding audits.
Discuss audit findings and recommendations with management
SAP HR Processes
Streamlining of HR and payroll processes where possible (work smarter) in line with best practice.
Proactively manage continuous improvement with cost efficiencies and Ensuring proper controls are in place within the payroll, HR and Time areas.
Review of payroll processing and payroll financials
Ensuring that the payroll is compliant with all legislative requirements
Involved in Payroll system maintenance, Upgrades of new versions and testing of new changes and Version updates
Assist in payroll running and processes in the absence of the Payroll Administrator or Payroll Manager.
Data Input Storage
Data owner for all HR master data: ensuring data integrity and compliance with all professional standards, legislative requirements in relation to the storage, transfer and confidential use of personal data.
Regular audit to establish that electronic storage of input documents are done timeously and policy and procedures are adhered to.
