A vacancy exists in the KwaZulu-Natal Region for a Sector Area Manager to commence duties in the Project and Construction Management Sector as soon as possible.


In line with our growth ambitions, the Sector Area Manager will provide strategic business leadership and development of operations within the KZN Region.


Main Responsibilities



  • Effective leadership and profitable management of operations to ensure that strategic and business plans integrate with the Sector and the region

  • Growth of the Sector in the region Business planning, budget and income control

  • Proven track record in business development with success in generating business from both the public and private sectors

  • Project planning and reporting

  • Project management of multi-disciplinary projects

  • Project resource management

  • Management of all Sector personnel in the region


Minimum Qualifications



  • Engineering Degree and / or Project Management qualification and / or Construction Management qualification

  • Must be registered locally with the relevant statutory body or be eligible for registration

  • Registration with relevant international professional body will be an added advantage


Knowledge and Experience



  • Minimum of 10 years post-graduation experience of which 4 years must be on multi-disciplinary projects

  • At least 2 years’ experience on multi-disciplinary projects (preferably as project manager)

  • Proven track record in business development and success in generating business from both the public and private sectors

  • Management experience at a strategic level

  • Able to network with relevant stakeholders at a senior level
