Job Summary:
The Manager, Security will provide leadership in the area of security for company’s operations. This position will interact with all levels of management across all business units. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proven success in a dynamic, fast paced environment and show critical thinking, innovation and agility in executing on multiple, complex initiatives. This position reports to and provides direct support to CEO The Manager, Security will provide thoughtful leadership in delivering a holistic, best-in-class Security program aimed at mitigating risk, ensuring continuity of operations and safeguarding the Company’s assets, reputation and brand.

Responsibilities
Provide quick and comprehensive response to critical security-related incidents against employees or assets.
Identify, develop, implement, and maintain Company security processes and asset protection measures across all business units to reduce risks, respond to incidents and limit exposure to liability in all areas.
Provide expertise, direction and support on all matters relating to physical security, security risk identification, analysis and integration, production operations, security awareness, crisis management, travel security, executive security and investigative matters.
Develop and manage creative and cost-effective security programs and solutions to protect Company assets.
Draft and implement Security policies, procedures, guidelines, standards, and best practices, evaluating enterprise-wide effectiveness and adherence to these measures.
Conduct ongoing assessment of security policies, procedures, practices and technologies to enable effective mitigation of potential losses
Coordinate the development, implementation and maintenance of Emergency Response Plans, Crisis Response Plans, and Disaster Recovery Plans.
Interface with other business areas and divisions to accomplish cooperative goals,
Design and maintain training programs on workplace violence, investigations, and other related topics.
Manage ongoing analysis of security exposures, evaluate program effectiveness, and develop benchmarking standards and metrics to measure the effectiveness of the Security function.
Foster effective communication and coordination with other Global Security Teams
Maintain close liaison with government, industry and law enforcement professionals.
Lead by example in line with company’s core values,
Directly manage Security department personnel and consultants.
Perform other security management duties as needed.
Ability to travel locally up to 50% of the time.
Ensure confidential processes throughout the intelligence management system
Ensure personal and co-workers adherence and compliance to Security objectives required to work according to the Mine’s Code of Practice, and report any observations of this not being done

Requirements:
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice, Security or related field and a minimum of 10 years’ experience in corporate security, private security, investigations or related field, preferably in a management role.
OR
Master’s Degree and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in corporate security, private security, investigations or related field, preferably in a management role.
Preferred Qualifications:
o Master’s degree
o ASIS certification
o Certified Protection Professional
Previous management or supervisory experience
Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact across all levels of management and across all business units.
Clear and concise oral and written communications skills and the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
Demonstrate leadership ability to drive strategy, prioritize and mobilize resources across the Company.
Lead and advise management on the implementation of security strategies within the Operation's broader business plans at local level
Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously and providing effective support to all functions and individuals within the corporate structure.
Wise use of discretion with ability to gain trust of business leaders and others to discuss and respond to sensitive issues.
Capable of working independently and in a team environment.
Full knowledge of physical security/asset protection methodology and implementation.
Full knowledge of investigation protocol, including interview techniques, reporting, collection of evidence, and legal requirements.
Full knowledge of emergency response planning & execution, crisis management, disaster recovery operations and business continuity.
Knowledge of industrial services industry
Valid drivers’ license (EB/08)
(Understanding of the mining and processing environments will be an advantage)
Proficiency with MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Outlook
