JOB PURPOSE
Provide safe effective guarding of the company assets, employees, visitors and scholars on the premises. Ensure that access control is effectively all the time, patrols around the premises.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
? Full Access Control
? Searches of contractors, visitors and staff members
? Be able to work shifts this include day and night shift, conduct perimeter patrols with security patrol system
? Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards
? Sound alarms contact direct supervisor in cases of emergencies or presence of unauthorized persons
? Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitors entrances and exits
? Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensure that authorized removal of property
? Investigate suspicious activities in the parking area and within the premises
? Crime prevention and deterrence
? Provide assistance to customers, employees and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
? Knowledge of operating security access control systems, turn styles, handheld radios

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION
? Grade 12
? Registered PSIRA Grade C
? Fire Fighting Course

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE
? 2-3 Years security experience within the corporate security environment
? Security Operational knowledge
