This large listed company has a level 1 B-BBEE rating. They are searching for an individual who can work well within a team and must be service orientated. In this role you will be responsible for the day-to-day statutory finance function, this includes providing financial support to the business units within the group. Accurately track financial performance against budgets and forecasts.



Qualification:

Minimum BCom or similar accounting qualification

Articles experience would be a huge plus

At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role



Skills & Experience:

Management experience essential - manage a small team

Superior Communication skills

Accurate and highly Analytical

Come from an environment where the company operates 7 days a week.

Extensive knowledge of South African tax

Must be computer literate with SAP experience

MS Excel proficient

Working knowledge of Great Plains - advantageous

Excellent reporting abilities

Deadline driven and able to work overtime when required



Job Description:

Responsible for the Groups balance sheet reconciliations.

Assist the Group with budgets and quarterly forecasts.

Cash flow management including preparing 12-week cash-flow forecasts.

Maintain and reconcile petty cash for the group.

Review and maintain trial balance, fixed assets register, general ledger and master-file maintenance.

Develop and implement financial procedures and internal controls.

Group bank signatory - check and release payments.

Consolidation and preparation of Group annual budgets and quarterly forecasts for submission to Group.

Management fee calculation on a quarterly basis.

Manage insurance calculation and internal recharging including attending quarterly insurance meetings.

Oversight of annual year-end audit process for the Group.

Preparation of year end audit packs and liaise with internal and external Auditors.

Prepare company tax calculation at year-end, March, September and final submission to SARS.
