RedCat Recruitment is seeking a SENIOR AGRICULTURAL ENGINEER – position based in the Pietermaritzburg area.


REQUIREMENTS
Grade 12.
BSc in Agricultural Engineering or equivalent qualification.
Must be a professionally registered Engineer (Pr Eng.).
15+ years’ previous relevant working experience.
A background in agronomy would be an advantage.
Duties include all aspects of Agricultural Engineering, with an emphasis on the following:
- design, installation and management of irrigation schemes.
- design of runoff management and soil conservation structures.
- design of agricultural structures and roads.
- design and management of agro-processing facilities.
- design of agricultural power and energy systems.
- agricultural potential assessments and feasibility studies.
- crop yield modelling.
- preparation of design reports and contract documents including technical specifications.
- supervision and management of construction.
