Our client, based in Johannesburg, is looking for a Senior BI Developer. Responsibilities will include, but not limited to, Creating and documenting technical solution specifications from business specifications, which includes data quality assessments, Establishment of data marts, views and stores through data integration (ETL) processes according to technical specifications, Cognos environment administration, Documentation of processes

Requirements:
• Solid understanding of relational databases and operational system structures/data models
• Solid understanding of data storage architecture and environments
• Experience of integrating data
• Experience with creating and maintaining ETL processes using ETL software (e.g. SSIS, DTS, etc.)
• Experience in BI software (e.g. Cognos, Business Objects etc.)
• Excellent SQL and/or PL/SQL skills
• Basic understanding of UNIX
• BI system design skills are recommended
