A leading company within the Information and communications technology space is urgently recruiting for a suitably qualified and experienced Bid Manager who will be responsible for managing bids in response to requests for proposals from customer’s specifications. You will ensure compliance with customer requirements and highlight the company value proposition.

You will satisfy the following minimum criteria:

• Diploma/Degree in relevant field is essential
• APMP Accreditation would be advantageous
• Diploma in Project Management in preferable
• Relevant Experience in Project Management
• Relevant Working Experience in Bid Management
• Relevant Experience in Industry

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Assembling a Bid Team with the relevant service, technical, business knowledge required to prepare the bid.
• Defining, scheduling, and managing the proposal preparation process
• Managing and coordinating the activities of the proposal team
• Managing bids through the bid process – from Qualification through to Win/Loss Reviews; ensuring bids are complaint, responsive and complete
o Review complex, high-level multi-BU or strategic requests for proposals (RFPs)
o Qualification of sales opportunities with core bid team(s)
o Develop proposal plans, outlines and schedules
o Run qualification and kick-off meetings
o Follow up with BUs on progress of deliverable content
o Review deliverables from solution experts according to Bid Office best practices and re-writes content where necessary
o Assemble drafts and review for gaps, edit and re-write as required to ensure client focus
o Complete a compliance and quality review throughout the process
• Review and assure quality, effective design and layout, formatting and quality assurance of bid documents to company standards

Location: Successful incumbent will primarily be based in Sandton, Johannesburg.
